Born in Sydney Australia, Lainie’s background is in commercial photography and advertising. Moving to the Gold Coast in 1982 where she began to study and teach art, Lainie has recently retired from full time high school teaching to concentrate and expand on her passion for art making.
Co- Founder and President of the first ICC Australian/Korean Art Exchange in 2007, and President of the Australian Creative Exchange Inc, since 2011, Lainie has participated in numerous individual and numerous group exhibitions and her work is represented in collections in Australia and overseas including, New York, Japan and Korea.
* My work usually focuses on the human form, using different media both 3D and 2D to convey my interpretation of the concept I wish to convey to the viewer. However lately I have been working with portraiture and experimenting with oil on glass and other mediums.
